Shawn Tristson I'm a lost cause not a hero, but I'll make it on my own.
X-Speaking-X X-Thinking-X
A tall, skinny teen slowly walked down the path that led to the shore of the murky blue lake. The only sounds heard where the gentle, but loud caws of the crows, his shoes scuffing on the broken boardwalk, and the waves lapping gently at the pebbley, littered shore. When the water came into veiw, Shawn slowly and instantly let his eyes scan the water for any animals, or people. He knew that it was VERY unlikely for a person or thing to be in the water for its toxidity but he was just like that naturally.
He eased down the steps, and stepped onto the shore, his shoes making a crunching noise each time he stepped on the pebbley ground. He felt a mild breeze flutter past him and his hair was swept into his face silently. He quietly let out a growl of frustration and flicked it out of his eyes with a toss of his head to the left. His amber eyes flickered as the one last beauty of the day peeked through the clouds. Sunset.
He trudged along the beach toward his 'speical' area and he kicked a can as he walked along. Each time the can rolled over the words 'Soup' appeared and then dissapeared along witht eh sound of metal clanking onto the earth. His black sneakers got a white mark from the light grey pebbles marking his shoe. He would need to cleant hat later. He nodded as he made that a part of his 'metal checklist'. So far, the checklist wasn't going so good. He sighed, and walked up to one of the very rare and few rock on the beach. It looked like a pillar expect it was larger and had smaller rocks leading up to the top.
He quickly and easily climbed up, and sat on the top. His legs automatically hung low below him as he sat on the rock pillar over looking the lake. He was about 10-12 feet in the air sitting. He looked out at the distance, at the lake barrier. It connected all the lakes together and made them one super lake. He pulled up the sleeves of his sweatshirt and sighed. He had given his other shirt to Raven, the 14 year old girl he ahd met on the plane. While he was shifting the sleeves he remembered why he always wore the hoodie. His scars...He sighed and pulled one back down and looked at his left wrist. He had engraved the shape 'S' in it for his name. He sighed. "What a fool I am" he scoffed to himself and pulled the sleeve back over his wrists and shifted his eyes towards the pebbley shore line.
