Name
Victoria P. Tersi
Gender
Female
Age
14
Relationship status
Single
Appearance
Victoria is truly not much to look at. With pale skin, and freckles on her shoulders, she burns easily, and never tans, an annoyance. Her face has splashes of acne, always present. She rarely smiles, but when she does, she has perfectly straight white teeth, but of course, her mouth is usually set in an annoyed scowl, so few people know that. Her wavy, pale silver/blonde hair is her messiest feature, always being up in a bun or some type of ratty knot, and has colorful streaks. The rainbow of hairties she has are always on her wrists, or occaisionally her ankles depending on how she's feeling. Back to the head, besides the mop of hair, Victoria also has another touch of silver on her. Her pale blue eyes are flecked with silver, and seem to glare out of a deep hole, black-rimmed from many sleepless nights, with black-rimmed glasses to magnify them. They are her defining feature, recognizable anywhere, even to those who knew her before everything happened. Her tall figure is imposing enough without those demonic things. She's heavy-set but not fat anymore, not very strong, but can give a well placed punch fast and hard enough to knock out a grown man. A fast runner, when she wants to be, she has long legs that she puts to use by running right into trouble. Victoria dresses simply, and rarely goes beyond a t-shirt and baggy jeens. Her footwear has more variety. She has flip flops of every color, and sneakers new and falling apart. Her favorites are her ancient blue plastic flip-flops. She sometimes wears fancy cowboy boot, but they give her welts even when she does wear her practically inch-thick protective socks. Her toenails sometimes have pink, purple, or black nail polish, same with her fingernails, though those are mostly stubs from her chewing them all the time. Oddly enough, it seems the only things on her hands she never bites or chews are her thumbnails. The dogs nibble her thumbs for her. Go figure.
Personality
Five words. Hard to get to know. Sure, Victoria is annoyingly polite, but she hates talking to people. She doesn't really fight you, or be a total ass right in front of you, but she will let you know precisely how much she wants to talk. It seems nothing pleases her. Well, except for being alone with her pets. Call her nuts, but her dogs are her only friends, at least, the only ones she trusts. It's hard to be certain whether or not you're her friend, really. As I said, she's polite to everyone, trusts no-one, but is friendly to a select few. While dull and perhaps mental to those who don't know her very well, those who do know her well have realized some things. One, not boring at all, two, completely mental. Victoria has a wild sense of humour and can make any conversation awkward. She is also annoyingly sarcastic. Only her closest friends can call her Tori. She is extremely dramatic and loves acting. Never ask her to read a book to you. She is always doing the voices and gets carried away. Of course she often knocks herself out. And then she'll be in a bad mood and might just bite your head off. Her temper is hot and quick. Her way of telling you she hates you is simple. She makes it deadly clear. No, not by killing you. Victoria just tells you she hates you, and then tries to kill you. She never succeeds, of course, killing isn't her style. Scaring is, though. Her fun in life comes by trying to scare people. Sometimes she'll prank her friends to get a good scream. It's the funniest thing in the world to her. But, she'll never do anything tha'll hurt someone. It's against her nature, which, though hating of others, can't stand to see anyone else in pain.
History
Victoria was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, and had the first year of her life in a small, ramshackle house on the outskirts of town. Her parents would always read her books about horses, for she loved them so very much. When she was two they moved to a larger home, still ancient, with ivy growing on the walls. It was a romantic little place you'd think to see in movies despite its small size. Victoria and her older brother spent most of their time in the basement, or playing with the two dogs, Zack and Jill. (Get it? .-.) Zack was a chocolate lab, Victorias very best friend, and he protected her when her parents fought. Jill was a yellow lab, and Joes partner in crime. Along came the age of three, and Victoria tried out crawling. Her parents took her to their Day Care, which they owned (I miss that place). She loved it there. Soon, Victoria became notorious as the binky bandit, since she'd steal everyone elses binky. Thievery came easily to her. Of course, then she got chicken pox and that was the end of that.
She never understood why the Day Care closed down, but it closed down, and was flooded, and people stole the copper wires. And so Victoria was four, and walked, talked, and had to go to preschool. She got kicked out of every preschool she went to, for being too aggressive. In one, she met her very first best friend, a girl named Rachel, and her little sister Leah. When that preschool kicked her out, Vctoria continued on with the friendship, which would stick by her for years to come.
She was five, and Kindergarten was up-and-coming. Her parents fought more and more, so that Victoria had to cower in her room holding onto Zacks neck for dear life. One of the cats had died, the other run away, and her favorite cousin had died. But, life went on. They had a new cat, a crazy little thing named Grady, and she had eyes straight from hell. Victoria had picked her out herself when they were visiting her aunts. Back to school, the first day was terrifying for Victoria. She had to be pried from her mothers leg, and then she went into a corner until the bell rang for school to begin. The day went by, mostly with Victoria too scared to move. She was so relieved to go home.
The next day was a bit better. She was still scared out of her mind, of course. During Recess she found a nice little corner to huddle in, but someone else had different plans. A girl named Angela came up to her. Victoria shied away, but she crouched down to take a closer look at the odd little thing. She asked Victoria if she wanted to play, with all the other kids. The blonde one looked at the brown one, and nodded warily. And so was born Victorias second best friendship, and her third when she met a boy named C.J. During school, Victoria rarely did anything without her two best friends by her side. She was part of a group, and not only that, but she was the leader of the group. Meanwhile at home things were getting rocky. Not only that but Zack died. Victoria was crushed, and was even more crushed when they had to get rid of Rocky, their pitbull that ate a cat.
Six was anything but uneventful. They sent the year searching for another dog. Victoria was very stern about which kind she wanted. A chocolate lab, just like Zack. So on the last day of school, her parents went to a rescue out of town and found the perfect dog. His name was Cocoa, and he was as rambunctious as he was loving. It was love at first sight, and the two put him in the back of the van and drove him to school so they could pick up Joe and Victoria. He and Victoria immediately fell in love, and he knocked her on her backside and gave her a million kisses just to show it. Seven went by, so eight. Her parents decided to move. Victoria threw a fit. Change was the worst for her. And then C.J got leukemia. She'd had a crush on him, and that just tore her apart. She'd never cried so much in her life, and they moved to NC without letting her say good-bye. Victoria vowed to show them just how much she hated them.
She was put in a ghetto school, with a bunch of spoiled kids, sadly most of them african american so God knows you can't hate them or you're racist. They always made fun of her for being white. Jill died in the middle of fifth grade, and Victoria began just skipping class. She was relieved to move into a real house and get away from them.
Sixth grade posed a problem for Victoria. Here she was on a campus, not knowing anybody but the assholes on the bus (I began cussing at around this time). She defiantly stuck her chin out and would not speak. They only moved her to seventh grade because of her fantastic end of the year testing grades.
Seventh grade meant new school, new school meant new annoyances. Victoria tried harder to do her work, and even got straight A's in science, but she fought everyone and got sent to ISS a few times for walking out of class and flicking off the teacher. She knew she was being a brat, and that moving wasn't enough to qualify for this behaviour, but it became a habit. Her parents hit her and called her and idiot whenever a report card came in, and she stood through it. She deserved it with those kinds of grades. She did meet three people, Katie, Pickle, and Jaylen. Katie and Jaylen were going out, and Victoria met Katie during science. They were doing this random paper airplane thing, and Victoria would have none of it. So she just watched everyone else do it. Katie noticed her looking and asked her what was up. Victoria debated whether or not to answer. She did, and answered nothing much. They got into a conversation, and that was that. Jaylen didn't quite like Victoria at first. He seemed to think she was snide, but they got to being friends. It was like Victoria, Angela, and C.J, except now Katie was the leader, and Victoria followed them around.
Victoria got a job at a horse farm. She loved it there, went whenever she could. The year went by uneventfully, seventh to eighth, a boring summer of building the pool and going onlne to chat. Her 14th birthday rolled around, and pretty soon after the apocalypse happened. Everyone in her family died, and Victoria ran off with some of the surviving dogs. She traveled to Minneapolis, and is trying to build a life for herself there. She really hates that she survived. Her guilt-trips are not to be envied.
